Rhythm and Blues Group of New Jersey.
Created in 1964 in New Jersey, the Manhattans quintet, formed by George Smith (who died in 1970 and was replaced by Gerald Alston), Winnie Lovett, Kenny Kelly, Ernest and Richard Bivens Taylor debuted on disc one year later, with the ballad "I Want to Be (Your Everything)".

In 1975, they signed with Columbia, his best starting there. The first big hit of the Manhattans' career came in 1976 with Kiss and Say Goodbye . Four years later, the group scored another big hit, "Shining Star". In 1983, the Manhattans recorded over who would become a classic ballad, "Forever by Your Side." It was the last hit the group, who have remained active, appearing mainly in the circuit of casinos in Las Vegas.

Leandro Roque de Oliveira (Sao Paulo, August 17, 1985), better known by his stage name is a Emic rapper, producer and reporter Brazilian music. It is considered one of the biggest revelations of hip hop in Brazil in recent years. The name "Emic" is a fusion of the words "MC" and "murderer." Because of his frequent victories in the battles of improvisation, his friends began to say that Leandro was a "murderer" and "kill" their opponents by the rhymes. Later, the rapper also created connotation of an acronym for the name: EMICIDA ( While My Imagination Compose Insanity Domino Art ). Their presentations are accompanied by live DJ Nyacknos instrumentals.
The first appearance of rapper media - outside the battles of improvisation - was single "Triumph" accompanied by a video clip with more than 600,000 views on YouTube . Emic released his debut in 2009, a mixtape twenty-five tracks titled, To those who have the Bit by a Dog Food, until I Got Away ... , the independent label Laboratory Phantom. In February 2010, his second work came in the form of EP titled Hear My Mine Your Rep Tamém . On 15 September the same year, was also launched on mixtape Emicídio , attached to a single namesake. Besides being a singer, Emic acts as reporter of the Manos and Mine, TV Cultura.

In my opinion, the best cd of one of the best rap groups from Brazil! Human consciousness is a group formed in St. Matthew in the early 90s. Among the members, Black Aplick was what stood out more, eventually being hit by vehicles since the ROTA (Rounds Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar) for the content of their lyrics.
